It was game one of the World Series. Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Houston Astros. It was also Car Hauling Dispatcher Tuesday Night Live Show #4. My most recent video: Stoneridge EZ-ELD Product Review.
That’s why the main topic was ELD. My recent ELD Review video of the Stoneridge EZ-ELD was fresh on my mind. So we spent considerable time comparing many of the top authorized ELD solutions. KeepTrucking ELD. BigRoad DashLink. Omnitracs, Rand McNally, Garmin, Blue Ink, etc!
It seems to me that other than brand recognition, price sensitivity is the driving factor for many owner-operators. But truthfully, almost nobody is ready to sign up. I wonder what ELD provider will find a way to break through in this market?
We also searched for loads. ATL-ORL was requested. SC-GA was another. And ultimately, I enjoy saying out loud the myriad of thoughts that I experience when I see loads posted with either information missing or rates clearly sub-standard. It’s the thrill of the hunt – and the experience of knowing which ones to call first.
I checked the games scores periodically. Live chat was brimming with activity between non CDL drivers and long time veterans. With me talking about loads and ELDs, the interaction seemed to hum like a Peterbilt on a midnight run.
I ended the show playing a new Trucking Game app I downloaded. It’s called “Heavy Truck Driver Simulator” by Secure3d Studios. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.secure3dstudio.hillclimb3dtrucksimulator
Thank you all for watching and participating. I’d like to think this is an Auto Transport Community show.
